Learn how charismatic leaders build successful working relationships
with their teams, communicate with their teams, and how they use effective
motivation to get things done through others. We'll show you the keys
to success to follow.
The power of recognition
Build a team of involved, motivated workers by expressing appreciation
the RIGHT way. Become more comfortable with delivering positive feedback.
Establishing expectations
Frequently employees do not meet performance expectations because
they never clearly understood what was expected of them in the first place!
New employees---and existing employees undertaking new assignments or
tasks-need a clear definition of what is expected if they are to produce
desired results. Participants learn how to set goals and expectations,
establish measurements, and clearly communicate these to employees.
Coaching for success
Pinpoints the factors that make or break training success when teaching
job skills to new employees or coaching current employees to improve skills.
Participants will put these principles into practice during the workshop,
teaching a skill of their choice.
Providing effective feedback
Become a more effective mentor by learning how to participate in
constructive interpersonal dialogues essential for effective performance
appraisals and conducting day-to-day coaching sessions. Participants will
learn to structure feedback in behavioral terms, and how to gain more
acceptance from the employee receiving the feedback.
Conducting Performance improvement discussions (pre-requisite:
Providing effective feedback) Problem performers present a dual challenge:
how to simultaneously coach the employee for improved results, while preparing
legal documentation necessary if performance does not improve. This workshop
will give you tools to do both. It focuses on how to conduct a true two-way
discussion to get real buy-in from your problem employee, while documenting
the sessions.
Dealing with emotional reactions Learn strategies for dealing with
common emotional behavior, including anger, defensiveness, tears, hurt
feelings, detachment.
