BILL SIMON

Our labor negotiations and union avoidance associate Bill Simon is an attorney considered by many to be an expert on labor law. Acting as the lead negotiator for companies in a variety of industries, he has successfully negotiated over 100 labor contracts with such unions as the Teamsters, UAW, Steelworkers, and the IAM. Bill's legal background and labor experience has made him a definitive influence in developing union avoidance programs. Bill holds a BA from Colgate and a Juris Doctorate from Washington & Lee University. In his 30 year career as a labor attorney, he has worked with such major public companies as GenCorp, TRW, Southern Bell, and Standard Oil of Ohio. Bill's career has also included the health care sector with such well-known institutions as The Cleveland Clinic and Catholic Health Systems. With his vast experience in labor and union avoidance, he has been a key factor in helping numerous companies defeat union organizing campaigns

JOSE FRANCO

Employment Compliance Services are provided to HR Pros' clients by Jose Franco, the "EEO Doctor". These services include preparation of Affirmative Action Plans, assistance with compliance reviews, and investigation of discrimination charges, including preparation of written defense materials. Jose has a great deal of experience dealing with the EEOC and the OFCCP, both as Director of the OFCCP's Phoenix District Office, and as a consultant to client companies in a wide variety of industries, municipalities, and tribal governments. He has helped clients save time, money, and anguish, and achieve confident cost-effect, transparent, clear compliance with the laws and regulations mandating nondiscrimination and affirmative action. Jose holds a BA in Political Science from Duke University.
